CMCI is a unique ISO structural test facility with more than 250,000 sq. ft. of
manufacturing space. CMCI has multiple production and installation lines. Our production
lines include 20 foot ISO’s, truck bodies, refrigerator container systems, Tricons,
Bicons, and Quadcons. Our Installation lines include the expandable Tricon and Quadcon,
and Tricon and Bicon Integration. At current capacity our main production line capacity
is 3,000 TEU / year.
The stages of our production process are as follows:
Stage 1 Welding
All CMCI welders are certified by Lloyd’s Register North America to American Welding
Society, AWS D1.1. standards. There are over 75 weld machines on site. A recent
upgrade in the weld area includes “dual” fixturing for rapid switchover.
There are nine Separate Stages including:
- Welding of sides, tops and base together
- Cleaning
Stage 2: Painting
Our paint department paints to both commercial standards and military specifications,
including CARC paint capabilities. The paint department has three paint booths.
There are four Separate Stages including:
- Blasting
- Priming
- Top Coat
Stage 3: Finishing
The Finish line is the last step in production before testing, and there are nine
Separate Stages including:
- Installation of connectors
- Application of serial numbers and certification placards
- Final cleaning and Quality Check
Stage 4: Water Testing
All containers are tested for ISO water tightness.
