Tricon Expandable
The Expandable Tricon Container is based upon CMCI's expandable ISO TRICON (8 x 6.5 x 8) platform and provides more flexibility and capability for the expeditionary War Fighter in a smaller and more easily deployed unit, fully transportable by sea, air, or land.
During deployment the Expandable Tricon can be extended to three times the capacity and floor space making the system ideal for such applications as kitchns, laundries, latrines, shower facilities, or testing workshops. Internal components, e.g. stoves, showers, workbenches, etc., originally stowed inside the basic tricon, can be set up inside the increased fully deployed expanded area of the container.
When stowed for transportation, the Expandable Tricon has the same footprint of a conventional CMCI Tricon and can be configured for shipping with three tricons being secured together, using Dura-Lock connectors. The resulting package has the same footprint as a standard 20' ISO intermodal container.

- Over 25.6 cubic meters (905 cubic feet) of internal capacity when expanded, 8.0 cubic meters (283 cubic feet of internal capacity (stowed)
- Four-way forklift pockets
- Custom personnel doors and panel available designed to meet user's function
- Full-width cargo doors on both ends of container
- Over 3.0 tons (6,000 lbs.) payload capacity
- ISO tested and CSC approved by Lloyds for use in the 20' module configuration
- Easily repaired (essentially same construction as a 20'/40' steel container)
- Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) available upon request
- 20 year lifetime
