CMCI has one of the best container engineering departments anywhere and enjoys a
sterling reputation for innovation, comprehensive knowledge and professional qualification.
CMCI’s Director of Engineering helped to design the original TRICON container. US
military officials are in frequent contact with him and his team in search of subject
matter expertise and advice. We have a complete toolbox of container engineering
design and analysis tools. In addition, we have one of only four container load
testing facilities in the United States, which allows CMCI to test any container
to assure that it meets Convention for Safe Containers (CSC) and ISO standards.
All CMCI products are built to the highest standards matching ISO and US Department
of Defense quality standards and are certified by the appropriate classification
societies. CMCI has its own spare parts support operation which offers a wide range
of parts, hardware and related equipment for a broad spectrum of container types
and makes.
CMCI certifies its container production to CSC and ISO 1496-1 through Lloyd’s Register
North America, Inc. CMCI has received certification for many types of containers
from Lloyd’s Register including QUADCON, TRICON (Type 1), TRICON (Type 2), ISO 20
Foot/40 Foot Open Top Containers, ISO 20 Foot/40 Foot Flatracks, ISO 20 Foot Platforms,
ISO 20 Foot Containers, ISO 20 Foot Side Door Containers and ISO 40 Foot Generator
Housings.
Under the terms of the International Container Safety Convention, Lloyd’s Register
is empowered to issue CSC certification worldwide. In compliance with the terms
of 49 CFR parts 450–453 as required in the solicitation, the U.S. Coast Guard has
approved Lloyd’s North America to act as an Approval Authority in the United States.
